God Forgives, We Don't

TRAILER (480p)
A wartime film written by Shane Patrick
God Forgives, We Don’t, is a 22-minute short film created by Shane Patrick and Kristof Brandl. It embodies a unique perspective depicting the cruelties of war.
Set in a world on the verge of global collapse, the film chronicles the life of a naïve adolescent who is drafted into the military. Torn from his lover, our hero embarks on a journey of reflection as his life is set on an immediate collision course with death.
This passion project was birthed as a first hand exploration into the brutalities of war at ground level. We wanted to interpret a story about the overlooked victims of war while evoking a raw and powerful visual experience. In a time where survival is the only constant in life, this is a tale of love, fear and courage.
